Kim is the visionary behind the Mission OM Foundation who served as a Yoga Therapist for the Department of the Army for more than two and a half years.
During her work, she provided yoga therapy for service members with healing from:
Military Sexual Trauma
Traumatic Brain Injury
and other hard-to-treat conditions
For years, she has worked side-by-side and provided yoga-based training to traditional healthcare professionals as well as complimentary and alternative providers by teaching asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra, and other yoga and Ayurvedic practices. She is also a Master Practitioner of Thai Yoga Therapy and somatic-based therapies.
Kimberly is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Counseling & Psychology from Troy University and has learned from some of the most knowledgeable yoga teachers in our modern day.
She has a background as a life coach and previously owned a Therapeutic Yoga studio in North Carolina before taking her position with the Army.
While in the private setting, she has worked both individually and in groups with exceptional children and adolescents, as well as children suffering from trauma. She has trained exceptional school teachers on how to incorporate yoga into the classroom setting. Kim has taught workshops and classes, including equine-assisted yoga, and has presented at conferences and seminars to local and national audiences.
